In every Calm and Bright episode, I have ended with a blessing. My hope was to make you feel seen, understood, and uplifted in a season that is filled with ANDS.
Light AND Darkness.
Joy AND Sadness.
Calm AND Chaos.
Gatherings AND Loss.
Parties AND Pain.
So, how, in the midst of all these ANDS, can December ultimately be a season of joy?
This is the miraculous blessing of Christmas.
Matthew 1: 23 “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel, which means, “God is with us.”
Jesus’ arrival didn’t erase suffering, loneliness, or longing, and His presence in your life doesn’t require you to pretend those things don’t exist. What His birth does promise is this:
You are not carrying any of it alone.
Emmanuel—God with us—means God with you. In the grief AND the goodness, in the waiting AND the wondering, in the joy AND in the ache.
Every human meets this season differently—some with hope, some with heaviness, some with exhaustion, some with longing. But Jesus meets us in all of it.
So as you step into the final days of December, may you know with all your heart;
God loves you.
God is for you.
God is with you.
May your Christmas be honest. May it be tender. And may you know in the Holy AND the Hard, you are not alone.
Merry Christmas, friends.
